Universal Blu-ray HD-DVD

What else were they going to do, right? Universal Pictures is getting ready to release 40 Blu-ray titles this summer. After furiously backing HD-DVD, they now have no other choice. Other than losing money by not releasing anything of course.

Starting July 22, Universal is going to release these 40 titles simultaneous with the DVD releases. Among the old titles are new ones like:

  • The Incredible Hulk
  • Hellboy II: The Golden Army
  • Mamma Mia
  • The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor

Spielberg talks about the evil internet

April 17th, 2008 at 1:08 pm

Steven Spielberg Cry

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Steven Spielberg addressed the current info and spoilers on the new Indiana Jones movie.

“It really is important to be able to point out that the Internet is still filled with more speculation than facts,” Spielberg told EW. “The Internet isn’t really about facts. It’s about people’s wishful thinking.”

In which George Lucas responded that “it doesn’t make any difference. Jaws was a novel before it was a movie, and anybody could see how it ended. Didn’t matter.”

“But there’s lots and lots of people who don’t want to find out what happens. They want that to happen on the 22nd of May. They want to find out in a dark theater,” Spielberg said.

I’d say they can just not read it, Steven. Don’t you use spoiler tags?
