They describe it as ‘Clueless’ meets ‘James Bond.’ I thought of a cross between ‘Speed Racer’ and ‘Charlie’s Angels,’ but that must be me. ‘Totally Spies!’ is making its way from the small to the big screen. Mars Distribution is bringing the $12 million project to the theaters next summer — and they’re not connected to the candy bar as far as I know.
‘Totally Spies! The Movie’ will be a mix between 3D and traditional animation. “We didn’t want to just make a long episode of the series. Our job is to make a good film for fans and also show parents they won’t be bored.” The series is one of the best rated in the world and airs in an impressive 166 territories. If the movie does well, production company Marathon Media is planning on several other animated features.

How can a movie with the title ‘Men Who Stare at Goats’ turn into something bad? By adding George Clooney to the cast? I don’t think so. By letting Grant Heslov (’Good Night, and Good Luck’) write the script? Not in my opinion. Both are respectable guys. But what about a story which revolves around an US army unit that was to use paranormal powers to defeat their enemies. I don’t know, maybe.
It apparently topped a list of best unproduced scripts around in 2007. I don’t know if that’s something to be proud of either. That’s like saying you were the best of the people who didn’t make it. The script’s title is based on the idea you could kill a goat by staring at it. What’s so strange about that? Isn’t it the first trick you learn as a farmer? No? You think it’s time for me to go to bed now? I agree.. Later guys.

Several Hollywood stars have been linked to the current ‘Anthony Pellicano’ wiretapping case. It seems like some of those crazy stories in the movies were ‘based on true events,’ because Anthony Pellicano was found guilty today and faces up to 20 years in prison. Using techniques like wiretapping, Pellicano dug up dirt about people for his powerful clients.
As it turns out, actors like Sylvester Stallone, Tom Cruise and Chris Rock were involved in the wiretapping too. Cruise was not directly linked, but used Pellicano’s services through his lawyer and attorney. Chris Rock claims he didn’t know about Pellicano’s tactics, but used his services when a model claimed he got him pregnant. Stallone did not use the service, but was tapped himself, just like several other Hollywood stars.
It gives you quite a different perspective of how Hollywood really works, am I right?
