These photos are (probably secretly) taken on the set of the game adaptation ‘Max Payne.’ While most movies based on video games aren’t worth it (Uwe Boll anyone?), the involvement of Mark Wahlberg, ‘The Shield’ creator ‘Shawn Ryan’ and some promising source material makes this one to keep an eye on.

‘Max Payne’ will be released October 17 this year.

Another Cannes candidate has released some production pictures. ‘Che,’ the $40 million project by Steven Soderbergh, will have its first screening May 21. No further release data has been set, but if it does well and gets picked up, we might see it theaters somewhere this Fall.

New ‘Quantum of Solace’ pictures hit the net last weekend, with Mathieu Amalric as its major focus. I think the PR for this James Bond movie is slowly going to pick up steam during the summer. With its $230 million budget, it sure needs it.
