Actors: Eddie Murphy in ‘Beverly Hills Cop 4′

The left picture should of course say ‘IV’ and not ‘IIII,’ but I don’t think anybody would’ve noticed if I didn’t just mention it. But I’m getting awfully off track here. Paramount thought, if a 65 year-old Harrison Ford can do it, so can the still young Eddie Murphy. And after the box office success of ‘Indiana Jones 4,’ they’ve greenlit ‘Beverly Hills Cop 4.’

The first three films came close to grossing $1 billion worldwide and 16 years later, Paramount is planning to release a another ‘Beverly Hills Cop’ during the summer of 2010. Eddie Murphy will reprise his role as detective Foley and Brett Ratner is in talks to direct.

Can we get excited about yet another sequel?
