Disney’s dog movie is having a great weekend and is projected to make almost as much as 101 Dalmatians in its first weekend. Check the new Box Office News episode in the flash window above the site for the full story. It covers the first numbers and projections for:

As promised here’s the top 3 for Saturday.
Beverly Hills Chihuahua went on to make another 12.5 million, up 55% from Friday. Eagle Eye was up 45% compared to Friday with 8 million and Nick and Norah only did a little better than Friday, with 4.5 million. More on the weekend totals and the tankers (Blindness..) in tomorrow’s Box Office News show.

New photos: ‘Blindness’

Fernando Meirelles, director of ‘City of God,’ is showing off new pictures for his screening of ‘Blindness’ at Cannes. The $25 million project will be released this September and features Julianne Moore and Mark Ruffalo in a drama about (you guessed it) massive blindness.
