When Brendan Fraser did Superman

Brendan Fraser Superman

MTV continues their ‘what could have been’ series, with this time Brendan Fraser as Superman. “First they offered it to me. Then they didn’t offer it to me,” Fraser said. “Then a huge swath of guys came in to put the suit on. We acted scenes as Clark Kent and [Superman].”

He goes on about how the script, at that time the one by J.J. Abrams (the creator of ‘Lost’), was “really really really,” yeah really awesome. It actually sounds like he’s saying it was “really” better than the script that was actually used. Check the video below for the full interview at Comic Con.

‘The Dark Knight’ in for more surprises

It looks like Batman is really getting into the unconventional marketing. Other than surprisingly showing the secret new trailer at Comic Con last Friday, a new viral marketing campaign was started by sending out e-mails. And while this may not be that impressive, they also started calling people.

The described call actually sounds rather dull, but it might have been cool to get one. After picking up, a computer starts asking questions about Harvey Dent, a character in the movie. In which you have to answer by pushing in a rating from 1 to 9.

After the interrogation you are able to give the telephone number of someone else, so he or she will get a call too. A fun trick and I fully expect more of these to follow before the opening of the movie.
