Spacey Box Office

‘21′ earned a little under $10 million last weekend at the overseas box office. Taking the number one spot (as expected) from ‘Horton Hears a Who!,’ which made $9.5 million, it’s clear these are slow days outside the US too. Third came in ‘Street Kings’ with Keanu Reeves, doing $8.8 million.

The number two at the US box office, ‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall,’ was only released in Australia and had a good opening with $1.7 million. Just like America, the rest of the world is getting ready for this summer’s movie overload.

High hopes for ‘Street Kings’ at the overseas box office. The $20 million production made a little under $13 million in its opening weekend in the US and is now released in 27 countries outside the US.

‘Horton Hears a Who!’ is still doing well overseas, now at $108 million. Meanwhile ‘10,000 BC’ didn’t flop as bad there as it did in the US, making $160 million.

‘Forgetting Sarah Marshall’ will be rolled out slowly in other countries, only opening in Australia this week. Released the last in Argentina September 4, the movie will simply be called ‘Dumped’ in some countries. But Germany gets the crown title. The movie will be known there as ‘Nie wieder Sex mit der Ex.’
