If you saw the ‘War, Inc.’ trailer, you will already know John Cusack isn’t looking for just entertainment with his new anti-war movie. Cusack put his anger about the Iraq war into a political satire. With its $10 million budget, he hopes this ‘comedy’ will have different effect than all the documentaries on the same subject.
“I think the movie should be kind of offensive. I’m shocked at how much good reaction we’re getting,” John Cusack said. “Sometimes with a serious, somber movie, even though they’re great and well intentioned, it just doesn’t allow you to be outraged because you just get depressed.“
He hopes this project will cause some reaction, because of its different political incorrect nature. “I don’t think we even went far enough,” Cusack said.
Will his effort spark more controversy than the documentaries in recent years? ‘War, Inc.’ will hit the theaters May 23.
