Why ‘Prince Caspian’ still didn’t visit Europe, a look at the overseas box officeJune 6th, 2008 at 11:49 am

Taking a look at the overseas box office, we see ‘The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian’ doing well in its current territories. But Caspian’s rollout is spanning over two months, which seems old-fashioned for such a big movie.
Paramount released ‘Iron Man’ and ‘Indiana Jones 4′ simultaneous, why can’t Disney do the same? Well, while you can question why it didn’t release in Europe in May, Disney isn’t releasing ‘Prince Caspian’ there in June for a simple reason; the European Soccer Championship. A family movie wouldn’t stand a chance against the big event in Europe and that’s why Disney delayed it until July.

Adam Sandler producing thrillerJune 6th, 2008 at 10:37 am
 | | Except for his off the beat ‘Punch-Drunk Love,’ Adam Sandler has been 100% comedy. But that’s about to change. His production company Happy Madison is taking on a thriller named ‘Shortcut.’ A story about two guys who find a scary shortcut in their town nobody was using before. And why would that be?
Nicholaus Goossen, who also made the lightweight ‘Grandma’s Boy’ for Happy Madison, will direct the thriller. And the movie already has a SAG waiver for the possible strike next month, since production will start in a couple of weeks.
‘You Don’t Mess With the Zohan,’ which is releasing today, also comes from Sandler’s busy production house.
